Hi everyone and welcome to another blog post!

Do you ever wake up in the morning and wish your life was a little different?

Do you dream about your days being structured in a different way?

Do you wish you felt happier, calmer, more confident or had more time to yourself?

If your answer is yes to any of these then I am here to tell you that you have the power to change things in your life including how you feel, how you fill your day and where you focus your energy.

This blog post guides you through a process I learned about when I took part in Ange Simpson’s Life Scripting Masterclass which helps you turn your dream day into reality. This is a realistic process and isn’t about dreaming of being a millionaire living on a Caribbean island but a process to help you live the best version of your life.

What is life scripting?

Life scripting is different to goal setting. Goal setting is often regarded as a floored process because you can lose 5kg but you can put it back on again within weeks. You can save £10,000 but you can spend it recklessly in just one day. Goals are usually quick wins rather than long term or lifestyle changes. Life scripting is about turning your dream life into reality through small actionable steps which you script into your daily life.

Think about what is the true desire at the core of the goals you’ve set for yourself? For example if your goal is to save £10,000 a goal like this is not usually about the money but about the feeling of being financially secure. If your goal is to lose 5kg this isn’t usually about being lighter but about feeling more confident in your body. This is important because life scripting is not about what you are going to achieve or have, but about who you are going to become and how you are going to feel.

Step one: Get clear about the areas in your life which are important to you that you want to keep or improve. Choose a couple of areas such as health and fitness, well-being, relationships, home life, wealth, business, career, education, contribution to society…..

Step two: Consider who you want to be when it comes to these areas of your life.

It’s important to think about your priorities and what ‘success’ looks like in each of these areas of your life, thinking about how you balance one with another. As an example, if one of the areas of your life which is important to you is health and fitness - do you want to be an Olympic athlete or do you want to be someone who exercises daily, eats a balanced diet and makes time for self care? This is what I mean by considering who you want to be in each area of your life.

Step three: Write your “I AM” statements. Right now your I AM statements may not feel 100% true and authentic but these are about the best version of you and the person you want to become in your dream life. This helps you raise your vibe to the person you are striving to become, write them down and read them aloud - it’s amazing how uplifting this practice is!

I AM healthy and fill my body with nourishing foods

I AM financially secure and money comes to me easily

I AM vibrant, radiant and glowing

I AM worthy and know I am capable of achieving anything I want

I AM skilled, knowledgeable confident in my job

I AM enthusiastic about life and radiate energy

I AM strong, fit and feel confident from within

Step four: If I was already this person above, what would I do, feel and how would I show up? Think about what the best version of you would do and the habits you would have.

For example -

I am vibrant, radiant and glowing - I spend time to recharge and fill my cup back up, nourish my body with good foods and do more of the things which make me happy.

I am skilled and knowledgeable - I prioritise self development, research and I seize opportunities to develop at work.

I am strong, fit and confident - I exercise regularly to feel strong, I appreciate my body being able to undertake this exercise and I don’t compare myself to others.

Do this for each of your I AM statements thinking about the habits, feelings and actions you take as your future self. This will be embedded in your life script in the next step.

Step five: Script your day by writing down the best version of your day from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep.

You can have more than one life script you may wish to have one for the weekdays and one for the weekend. This should be a realistic but higher level of your current life. Your life script details the small shifts you can make to your current life to feel, think and be a better you.

  • How do you wake up? To an alarm or naturally? Are your curtains open so you can see the blue sky? Who do you wake up next to?

  • What are the first things you do in the morning? Yoga, go to the gym, have a coffee in silence, do a skincare routine?

  • What foods do you consume throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks?

  • What do you prioritise during your day? Connecting with people, chasing business goals, doing hobbies, learning….. Be realistic.

  • How do you connect with people around you? How do you greet them, show them love, spend time with them, be present with them?

Think about every aspect of your day and repeat the above for your whole day - be specific and consider how you feel and the actions you take throughout every aspect of your perfect day.

Once you have written it down you may wish to record it on your phone and listen to it every single morning as soon as you wake up. The power this has in helping you level up, shift your vibe and start attracting what your desire… it’s incredible! I hope you give this practice a go and if you read or listen to your script daily you will be amazed at how your days start becoming closer and closer to those you’ve dreamed about in your scripted life.

I hope this has been an insightful practice and I hope it helps to bring you the most perfect day every day.

Thank you as always for reading.

Love Alice

X
